Description

MAX IV Laboratory welcomes you to a one-day workshop
Fields of View : Collaboration Across Tomography Measurements and Data

Monday 18 May 2026, at LINXS (<<-- Click to open map)

The aim of this workshop is to bring together users, beamline staff and software developers working on tomography in Europe and the United States.  Organised as a focused opportunity for exchange, the workshop will address shared methodological and operational challenges and identify areas where sustained collaboration can accelerate progress.

The discussion will be organised around key issues that affect many tomography experiments and facilities:

  • optimising acquisition strategies
  • reducing radiation dose while preserving quantitative information
  • improving reconstruction and artefact correction methods
  • integrating multimodal and in situ imaging approaches
  • managing increasingly large and complex datasets
  • the role of AI in experiment control and data analysis

The workshop will also address the need for shared software tools, interoperable workflows, benchmarking datasets, and common practices for data analysis and validation. By involving both developers and users, it will help connect methodological advances with practical experimental needs.

The expected outcome is a clearer basis for long-term cooperation among facilities and users groups, supporting coordinated development, exchange of expertise, and more robust tomography methods across the community.
