This workshop series focuses on joint developments of longitudinal diagnostics for ultra-short electron bunches and THz pulses in current and future accelerators.
The workshop is organised in working groups, with each participant contributing to one or several of those. One aim is the exchange of ideas and planning of collaborations or joint measurements. Brief facility overview talks are planned at the beginning of the workshop. A poster session is also scheduled, with poster introductions ('speed talks') following the corresponding facility talk.
The following working groups are planned:
- Detector Design, Fast Electronics for Detectors, Data Acquisition (chair Andreas Penirschke)
- Diagnostics in the Spectral Domain (Gian Luca Orlandi)
- Diagnostics in the Time-Domain 2-D (Serge Bielawski, Bernd Steffen)
- Time-Resolved Diagnostics / Arrival-Time / Low-charge (Marie Czwalinna, Christopher Gerth)
- Longitudinal Phase Space Diagnostics and Reconstruction Methods (Johan Lundquist, Gesa Götzke)
- Time-Resolved Beam Position Monitors (Andreas Schloegelhofer, Robin Svärd)
A privately organised excursion to Söderåsen National Park is planned for the Sunday preceding the workshop. We will take this train/bus connection from Lund C train station to the Skäralid Nationalparken bus station and walk the Kopparhattsrundan (4 km, 1h 30min). Return connections leave from the same bus station at 13:14, 15:14 and 17:14 (last one). Please bring solid shoes (hiking boots are not strictly needed) and, in case nature calls for it, rain gear. Public transport tickets (SEK 154 for 24h/return) can be bought from ticket machines at Lund C or via the Skånetrafiken app. We will meet at Lund C just south of Crafoord Auktioner at 9:15 (map).
