Details on the participants. More important than a precise answer for all the individual participants is the overall level and background of the group.
Education level: Master students
Visitor background: Physics
Motivation, interest, expectations from the visitors:
- Lecture space at MAXIV that day
- Besides a general overview, it would be of course great to see a couple of beamlines, if I could wish I would say NanoMAX, CoSAXS and then a spectroscopy beamline from the small ring. But of course we are also happy with whatever we can see. A scattering/diffraction beamline is however high priority, because scattering is part of the lecture where we organize the study visit.
MAX IV interest: outreach to user to-be
MAX IV staff involved: Kim, Dina, Francesca, Alex
MAX IV room: MAX III
Visit format and program:
Arrival at MAXIV between 9.30 and 10, depending on traffic (we come with a bus)
10-12 Lectures in MAXIII
-Kim Nygård: Introduction to synchrotron and experimental techniques
-Dimitri Argyriou: Introduction to ESS
-Francesca Curbis: Introduction to Accelerators
12-13 Lunch
13-15: Experimental hall, guides: Alex Björling, Dina Carbone
Around 15: departure

Other Comments/notes:
Would it work on either 26/2 or 4/3? (if both are possible, that is better than we can have a bit of flexibility for planning in between other courses)
Experimental hall, (2 hours)? General overview (ie allowing visit to any beamlines that could be available for a visit… or wishing for couple of them (NanoMAX, CoSAXS,…? Both rings represented…etc)
