DESCRIPTION:\nThis  workshop is held as a satellite meeting to the VUVX 2
 026 conference in Uppsala (22–26 June)\nWelcome to the MAX IV Workshop o
 n Soft X-ray Spectroscopies – from Free Atoms to the Condensed Phases.\n
 Taking place from June 30th to July 1st\, 2026\, at the MAX IV Laboratory 
 in Lund\, Sweden\, this two-day event aims to engage our user community an
 d attract new collaborations to explore the future of our fields. The work
 shop will focus on recent advancements and future directions in Atomic\, 
 Molecular and Optical (AMO) science and Resonant Inelastic X-ray Scatterin
 g (RIXS).\nA key objective of this workshop is to identify the future need
 s of scientific research to help shape the upcoming MAX IV Soft X-ray Stra
 tegy 2037. The program features presentations from invited speakers\, a po
 ster session\, a dedicated round-table discussion\, and guided beamline to
 urs.\nIf you would like to make a pitch presentation during the workshop\,
  please register for the event and submit a short abstract to LDM@maxiv.lu
 .se by the 10th May.\nPlease note that there is no registration fee to at
