This workshop series focuses on joint developments of longitudinal diagnostics for ultra-short electron bunches and THz pulses in current and future accelerators.
The workshop is organised in working groups, with each participant contributing to one or several of those. One aim is the exchange of ideas and planning of collaborations or joint measurements. Brief facility overview talks are planned at the beginning of the workshop. A poster session is also scheduled, with poster introductions ('speed talks') following the corresponding facility talk.
Presently, the following working groups are planned (further proposals welcome):
- Detector Design, Fast Electronics for Detectors, and Data Acquisition
- Diagnostics in the Spectral Domain
- Diagnostics in the Time-Domain (2-D)
- Time-Resolved Diagnostics / Arrival-Time Detection
- Longitudinal Phase Space Diagnostics and Reconstruction Methods
- Time-Resolved Beam Position Monitors
Depending on the final number of participants, we may merge or split groups.
A privately organised excursion is planned for the Sunday preceding the workshop. With suitable weather a visit to Söderåsen National Park is an option.
Previous workshops in the same series: 2025 (DESY), 2024 (TU Dortmund), 2023 (KIT), 2022 (Lille)
