Low Density Matter (Parallel Session)

Low Density Matter

Tuesday 24 September

Room:KILO

The Nordic-Baltic community centered around beamline I411 and the I3 gas phase branch is a strong and active group of users at MAX-lab today, with activities ranging from studies of free atoms and small molecules to surface properties of aqueous solutions. The new MAX IV facility promises exciting possibilities to continue and develop these activities, for instance at the new Estonian-Finnish beamline (FINEST) at the 1.5 GeV ring. At this session, some directions within this wide scientific field will be presented, as well as the prospects at MAX IV.
