Description

Our laboratory is growing and this presents us with new challenges.  MAX IV has always been a workplace characterized by a great social environment.  Now we are entering a new era and it is important that our workplace culture accompany us and continue to evolve.  As part of this development we are pleased to invite you to an inspiring talk by Erik Fernholm, Lecturer of the Year 2011.

Erik’s talk is about how well-being, development and meaningfulness in work are no longer luxuries for the chosen few.  On the contrary, they have become critical success factors for organizations.  New research clearly confirms three things:  that the better we feel, the better we perform; that we can influence our sense of well-being more than we might think; and that our beliefs about motivation are often outdated or even false.

WIth humor, inspiration and interactivity, you will have a chance to experience the psychological research that overturns many of our goals and our ways of thinking about what it means to have a good life.  You are invited to what promises to be a motivating and enjoyable talk!
