The scope of this seminar is to give an overview of the normal-conducting, iron-dominated magnets used in particle accelerators.
The main characteristics and purpose of the different magnet types will be listed.
Also a brief description how to develop the magnet design and which aspects need be considered before starting the design phase will be discussed.
