Stay in Sweden

Sweden uses the Swedish krona, not the euro, and nearly all places accept card payment.

Travel to Lund

The closest airport is Sturup Malmö Airport. From Sturup, there are coaches (“Flygbussarna“) to Lund. The trip takes about 35 minutes.

The closest international airport to Lund is Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) in Denmark. It takes about 35 minutes from the airport to Lund Central Station by train. Train tickets can be purchased from the Swedish Skånetrafiken ticket machines or the Danish DSB ticket machines or DSB ticket office in the arrivals hall at Copenhagen Airport.

Note: There are passport controls both when taking the train to Sweden and when entering Sweden. Make sure to always bring a valid passport when travelling between Denmark and Sweden.

From Lund Central Station to Kulturen

It's a short walk (650m) from the train station to Kulturen, see map in the menu.

From Lund Central Station to the MAX IV Laboratory

The green city bus no. 20 leaves every 10 minutes from Lund C and it stops at MAX IV stop, directly outside the facility. The trip is about 13 minutes. Tickets are purchased after boarding the bus with credit card.

You can also take a taxi and we recommend Taxi Skåne or Taxi Lund.

For more travel information, please visit Lund University and MAX IV website.
