MAX IV and Industry

Synchrotron X-ray scattering techniques have found widespread use in industrial R&D, ranging from characterisation of nano-structures, chemical processes, pharmaceutical compounds to engineering materials, to name but a few.

The aim of this workshop is to review the benefits of synchrotron X-ray characterisation techniques to industrial R&D, as well as to identify the needs of the industrial user community with a view to creating the best possible instruments at the MAX IV Facility. The MAX IV facility, currently under construction in Lund, will be the world's brightest synchrotron X-ray source in its class when it enters operation in 2016, and we are currently preparing the second phase of instruments to be constructed and installed at the facility.

We have the pleasure to invite you to listen to key industrial R&D managers from different industrial sectors about their experience with synchrotron facilities, and hope to engage with you in shaping the future of the facility.
