This workshop is held as a satellite meeting to the VUVX 2026 conference in Uppsala (22–26 June)
Welcome to the MAX IV Workshop on Soft X-ray Spectroscopies – from Free Atoms to the Condensed Phases.
Taking place from June 30th to July 1st, 2026, at the MAX IV Laboratory in Lund, Sweden, this two-day event aims to engage our user community and attract new collaborations to explore the future of our fields. The workshop will focus on recent advancements and future directions in Atomic, Molecular and Optical (AMO) science and Resonant Inelastic X-ray Scattering (RIXS).
A key objective of this workshop is to identify the future needs of scientific research to help shape the upcoming MAX IV Soft X-ray Strategy 2037. The program features presentations from invited speakers, a poster session, a dedicated round-table discussion, and guided beamline tours.
Please note that there is no registration fee to attend this workshop.
Please fill out the form below to secure your spot.
We look forward to welcoming you to Lund!
