Hosting the Coherence 2026Conference
We are soliciting bids from parties interested in organizing the next edition of the Coherence Conference in 2026.
Interested parties are encouraged to contact Aymeric (Aymeric.robert@maxiv.lu.se) to express interest and discuss their proposal.
A formal proposal consists of a maximum of two pages, as described below. To ease this process, we provide the document that MAX IV produced for the coherence 2024 proposal, which can be accessed with this QR code.
Formal proposals should be received by no later than September 2 !
Process Descriptions as described in the Coherence Conference Bylaws
- A call for proposals to host and organize the next conference should be made during the conference, and discussions should be initiated with potential host representatives. The applicants should provide a brief description (1page) of the chosen location, attendee capacity, date of the conference, estimation of the registration fees, and possibility to offer student grants. Applications should be sent to the conference organizers.
- The conference location is expected to rotate between Europe/Africa, Asia/Oceania and America. However, under certain specific circumstances (availability of a new source, other scheduled conferences), it may be appropriate not to follow the location rotation guideline. A waterside location (ocean, sea, or lake) is highly preferred.
- After a maximum of a three-month proposal window, an IAC vote will be held to select the location of the next conference (assuming a 2-year cycle).
