Practical information

Venue

The lectures will be held in the Palaestra auditorium which is in the centre of Lund (see map), next to the main university building. The poster exhibition will be next to the lecture hall.

Travel
Please arrange your travel yourself. The meeting will start at 13:30 on Wednesday 25 in the Palaestra auditorium, a 5 minutes walk from the Lund train station. The registration, i.e. pick up of your name tag, will start at 13:00.

In case you participate in the Future of microfocus protein crystallography workshop at the MAX IV Laboratory user meeting you will have time to eat lunch at the user meeting and walk down to Palaestra in central Lund (30 minutes walk or take e.g. bus no 4)

The meeting will end on Thursday September 26 with a lunch that starts at 12:30.

New: We will organize a visit of the MAX IV site directly after the meeting. We will arrange transport and you will be back in the centre of Lund before 16h. The number of places are limited.

Accommodation
Please arrange your accommodation yourself. You can find a list of hotels here where you can ask for university discounts when making your reservation. Normally you have to make your reservation over the phone or by e-mail to receive the discount. Note that the list gives the distance from different hotels to MAX-lab, not to the meeting venue. "Ibis Hotel Lund" is the least expensive but also far from the meeting venue though there is a bus that takes 10 minutes that brings you to the town centre.

The University Guest House and "Anhörighotellet" (administered by the hospital) offer simple accommodation for around 500 SEK, mention that you are visiting the university:

Anhörighotellet, email: Pathotellund.reception@skane.se

Registration fee
Registration, including dinner on Wednesday and lunch on Thursday, is free at this stage and will remain so, provided sufficient external funding can be raised. If this is not the case, we might contact the group leaders at a later stage to ask for a small contribution per participant towards balancing expenses. Therefore, we ask each participant to indicate the name of their group leader when registering.
